Four Short Steps to Walking in Happiness All the Time
Author: Shel Shamus
This book delineates how to transcend onesself; how to be a happy person; how to be a peaceful person; how to be a successful person, as with all of the spiritual traditions of the world, just boiled down to the blood and guts of all of them--without the extra fluff. In this book is virtually all ancient and new age wisdom. Simplified into thirty some-odd pages. Small pages at that.
My name is Taylor, and I wrote this book with the intent that it might help people understand the consequences of doing wrong. Though it may sound that I am glorifying the things I did, if I had the chance to change my life I would have. Though I love where my life is today, there were times I wished I weren't alive. It took a lot more then what can be imagined to get over the life style I was living. I am proof that a bad kid can turn them selves around. If you think that in the end of this book that I haven't, then you are wrong and can look forward to reading my next book. The most important thing I was trying to get across is that every little thing in life including people can be very deceiving and to stick only to what you believe in and nothing else. In the end nothing and I mean nothing will matter except that your heart be in the right place.

This manual provides valuable tools such as the Life Framework, techniques for organizing your material, a reading list, memory prodders, and the writing hints that have been deemed worthy of special mention by the students. Hilda states: “My interest in working with the Life History stems from many years of professional involvement with the older people. Clearly the Life History helped them recall their abilities in surmounting great difficulties, providing a strong foundation for getting on with life with renewed vigor and enthusiasm. A completed Life History gives the writer grand rewards: an enthusiasm for getting on with life, a document for living for the next generations, and for your family and friends, an opportunity to know who you are.”

Poetic Imagery in Motion presents a collection of love poems, spoken words, and spiritual poems that Dimitry Frederique has been writing since he was in high school. This book details his journey for love from a male's perspective. This book is filled with very passionate poems that attracts the senses and speaks to the soul.
Pages In My Life depicts too few of the many instances in the life of the author yet though the poems in this anthology reveals a cross section with its main focus on Life, Love, Pain and Reflection. As simple as the section title may seem and to most would be thought of as predictive, beware, what follows is nothing near to what we would expect. Love and Pain, as it pertains to the former, one would expect to hear only sweet rhymes of passion that we all know are dreams of what love should be. However, the author in his book does a great job of capturing a great portion of what it entails from those sweet rhymes of passion to what many of us choose to ignore, which is the down side of love, the pain that accompanies it. As Khalil Gibran expresses it, "the same thing that gives you joy, causes you pain." In other words it is inevitable that you pay your respects in this regard, you can never separate one from the other that is of course, unless we are writing a fairy tale. You can clearly understand why I chose to speak on both titles at once. The downside of love is not always hate, but almost always causes pain. Life and its many struggles as we know it, is not in isolation. With one of its focus being connection, the author drives us a deep message and I quote: "In connecting with others we begin to find out more about ourselves and our purpose for being here." ... a phrase to which the self-centered individual cannot relate, as simple as it may seem. Then there is Reflection which in itself is colorful and can be described as the sweet escape at times and at others, the awakening to harsh realities. Whatever it be, it is these reflective moments that can cause one to make decisions resulting in significant impact on an individual's life and or that of others near or far. In conclusion, the author, in the most basic language and his choices of words created what can be compared to a thrilling roller coaster ride as this read sends your mind racing off pushing you ever so constantly towards the end which we all know must be but not before he takes you to a climax then swoops you down bringing you back to reality amid thought provoking slings of reflective verses: "Reminding us that the ever present forces of good and evil; life and death are only mirrored images of our own conscious manifestation" ... before easing you to a final stop. Each of us, at some point in our lives, will have a knee bender a devastating event that has happened to you or someone you love that has caused you to fall to your knees to pray. In The Ride of Your Life, Faith Will Move You Forward, Tina Boyd will take you through her personal knee bender and will show you how she turned a tragic experience into a meaningful life lesson. Years of journaling and reflection have helped Tina to develop the "front wheel" model. The front-wheel model will encourage you to move forward and to embrace life, regardless of the challenges you are facing. She utilizes the mechanics of a wheel to guide you through the seven spokes of healing that will lead you down the road of faith towards God's love. Tina shares her deepest thoughts, pain, and spiritual healing to guide you through the blowouts, bumps, and wrong turns along your ride. The wheel concept is a practical guide to show you how to handle each step of your journey: shame, humility, forgiveness, and finally, gratitude. Tina's front-wheel concept with God as the hub of the wheel will help you understand your life's lessons. The rim will help you to understand God's everlasting love and promise of eternal life. Even if you have yet to have a significant blowout or wrong turn along your personal path, using this concept will guide you through the beautiful ride that God intends for you to have.
